I am in a line of family members who did not make it out of their 40's. I have to beak this curse.

You can! My people tend to go early as well but I fight like hell make it farther everyday. You hang in there.

if you can spend as much time as you can beside the sea the dry air will slow down it's progression !

i read recently about a guy who moved to Valencia in Spain his copd improve to air intake of 96 % he sold his house in the UK and moved there !

Have you been tested for Alpha 1 antitrypsin deficiency? If not, get tested. It is genetic, runs in families and claims it's victims early. There are different treatment options to help slow the progression (different from other forms of COPD).
