sadly, no-one seems to comment Caz, I asked a question for a friend of mine and was disappointed.

I hope you are ok.

Hi I recently had colon resection surgery and have a temp ileostomy which I am finding very emotional to get my head around tbh! My bowel fully prolapsed so it needed to be removed! ( thankfully my crohns wasn't present in that part also it was higher up so just surgery to remove the damaged colon. I have my dye test next week and was wondering if you knew anyone who may have had similar? I get so para about my pouch...... I feel my output all the time will this ease?

Hi all. Just joined. Have illiostomy. 6 months. I have done okay. Plan to cycle C2C in September. Have been swimming with my kids . Still learning about my bag and trying to get things right. Always looking for tips. Have experimented with ostomy arch and now a stoma guard. A hassel driving and wearing trousers for work. Skirt won't do.

Thanks.

Hi all, Leepsa if you have pain take care with what you eat and drink. I can't have fizzy drinks or anything that is difficult to digest like nuts, otherwise it causes partial blockages and trapped wind, and Bern65 take care to support your muscles so that you don.t develope a hernia, You are still doing incredibly well though, keep it up. I had my colostomy a year ago in May 2012. I can now wear high waisted trousers but for months I had to wear a skirt. It does get easier in all sorts of ways Good luck and good health to all

Im awaiting admission to have my colon/rectum/anus/bowel muscles removed. Any info would be welcome. IE what to expect before the operation and after?
