I am a colorectal cancer patient with a loop colostomy on the transverse colon. My main colectomy surgery hasn't happened, yet. When I normally sit on the toilet to pass mucus I get nauseous.

I know some people use enemas to clean out the mucous. I wonder if that would help it come out easier and ease the nausea? You might ask your doctor.
