I had an emergency surgery for a perforated bowel. Have not seen my Gi docter yet and today when I went for my appointment I was told I was there on the wrong day it was yesterday. I was told buy the surgeon who did my whole fixing that my gi might suggest removing a portion of my large bowel before I can be reversed. I really want this reversed but I'm so worried. Does anyone know if you can reverse if you have some large bowel removed. My small bowel gas no disease in it. Will I be able to reverse. I heard you can still reverse even with a little large bowel from the surgeon who fixed my but he is only a general surgeon. Anyone know more about this.

Hi

I had a portion of my large bowel removed 3 years ago and had it reversed 5 months later, and I'm better than ever now. Everyone is different though, but see your surgeon and keep your spirits up, that's what will get you through this tough time.

Good luck

Do you know how much they removed.I had a small portion removed 15 years ago. The surgeon who fixed my perforation was only a general surgeon he said it looked like I had some more borrowing and he is sending me to a go surgeon to look at it possibly most likely I will need another spot removed so I wonder how much large bowel can be removed before they can't put you back to normal because I hate this bag and I don't want to live like this. I can fight this if I just knew at the end it will be put back
