I find taking charcoal tablets deal with the gas within a few doses.

Gas is a big, big problem for bag-wearers. The only way I have dealt with it is to cut certain foods from my diet which produce gas. It was 'trial and error' but now i know to avoid: onions, cauliflower, mushrooms, sweetcorn and any fruits with seeds eg strawberries (yes, I know), raspberries etc.

I have managed now, to give myself a healthy diet despite cutting these out: for instance I can eat the top, green part of brocolli but not the stalk, also spinach doesn't cause a problem. I also eat carrots and beetroot daily. A daily portion of oats with almonds and walnuts and a handful of bluberries (avoid peanuts cos they 'gas'), topped with a good dollop of natural greek yoghurt.

It takes time, but it can be done. Good luck.
