Anal discomfort when sitting

Does anyone have anal discomfort when you first sit down? Then afterwards it's ok

It's like the sensation of the seat, cushion, pushes against the anus and causes a soreness which immediately passes after you get comfortable in your seat

I have no piles or fissures

Anyone else? What could this be associated with?

Hi Catsandsunsets,

No, but something sounds swollen for some reason. Maybe there are others on this site that are experiencing these symptoms?

It could be a internal pile which you can't see? See your doctor to check this out.

hi Catsandsunsets

This could be pelvic floor related, maybe a prolapse, ie a rectocele. I’d suggest you see your GP, who will be able to examine you and if necessary refer you for a scan or to see a specialist. The symptom you describe certainly sounds like a prolapse is being “ pushed back up” when you initially sit down.

Wishing you well.
