It's possible that the discoloration could be due to blood. It could also be the result of something you've consumed. Or it could be absolutely nothing - just a discolored spot.

Diarrhea can upset hemorrhoids if you've got them. I was doing a colonoscopy prep recently and there were several drops of blood on the toilet paper after the very first bowel movement. I was scared out of my mind. It was just from hemorrhoids - nothing else.

Schedule an appointment with your physician. Ask for a referral to a GI. Get a colonoscopy. Always best to know for a fact that it's nothing. Plus - a GI can band any bad hemorrhoids during a colonoscopy. Had mine done while I was under. Pretty handy.

Thank you for posting on Colon Cancer Connected. What you are seeing could be and also it may not be. What you could do is have a FIT test done to see if that is blood in the stool. There are some you can do from home like Cologuard. You can also go to your doctor and they should be able to get that done for you as well. I would agree with the advice you’ve already gotten here on this site. It is always best to know if it’s not a problem.
