Hi, in the past week I’ve had some irregular gastrointestinal issues. It started with an acidic feeling in my stomach waking me up 2am on Friday morning. I felt off all day. Lots of gas and going to the restroom. Next day I continued to feel off. Didn’t sleep well, acidic stomach. Was nauseous to and at a destination. Felt better when I ate something. I’m 27 year old female. I got my period and Felt better the next day. Have felt better and been fairly regular since Sunday. Had a video appointment with my PCD yesterday and she asked if I wanted to test for H. pylori with a stool test. I just did the test this morning and I’m freaking out! Looks like mucus and blood but I have a lot of indigested food, and I know I’ve eaten tomatoes. Help!
Cancer doesn’t run in my family. Stomach issues do. Celiac runs in my family. IBS. I do have hemorrhoids from pregnancy, I would get super constipated and then I’d have blood when I wiped if I strained. I strained today a little bit. Any advice or thoughts help! Do you think this means i have cancer?

Thank you for posting on colon cancer connected. I hate you're having to deal with these issues. It is hard to tell from a picture what's going on. There are many tests that can be performed that can help narrow down what may be the cause for what you are having to deal with.
The biggest statement you said was cancer does not run in your family and that stomach issues do. I would think scheduling a visit with your GP would be the best way to get some tests done and look for some concrete answers. You already did a H. Pylori stool test. What you are experiencing could be caused by many different things. To get you some good answers, I would think you would want to have a FIT test performed which would check for blood and stool. This way you wouldn't have to speculate and get more worried about what may be going on. You did state that you had hemorrhoids and that could possibly be the cause for what you're seeing. These are symptoms that should be checked out so you can know exactly what's causing them.
Please make a list of the medical related history of your family so you can tell your GP what's been going on. This should help with the tests that are chosen.
I would definitely focus on finding answers by getting some tests done. This is the best way to put your mind at ease. Do I think this means you have cancer? From everything you've said, I would definitely not jump to this has being cancer. You have a lot of things going for you like no family history of cancer and you do know your health history. Many people don't. You know stomach issues run in your family. So, there are a lot of things to get checked out and eliminated that would not be on the cancer side of a diagnosis.
We do wish you the very best in getting some answers for the symptoms you're experiencing. Please don't be scared out of your mind. I think focusing on getting these answers from your doctor would be very beneficial. And when you find out what's going on, please let us know as it is this type of information that can be helpful to others on this site.
