I passed this stool earlier yesterday and I was sacred as what the cause could be. I haven’t had this type of stool since the incident but I want to know what is going on, I’m only 18

Hi Sqnu,

Thank you for posting on colon cancer connected. I hate to see you're having to deal with this issue and this could be something caused by a wide variety of things. What you are seeing may or may not be a blood clot? There are some tests that can help you determine what's going on. One of them is a FIT test which can determine if there is actually blood in your stool. There can also be a whole host of other things going on here. The FIT test is something that you can actually do at home. One of the companies that does this is called cologuard and it's a home based mail in test.

Another thing you can do is actually go to your doctor and have him check it out. You are obviously looking for some answers which is a good thing and having the doctor check it out will definitely give you some Peace of Mind. That is probably the best path to be on and it will definitely get you the answers you're looking for. I am glad to see you are noticing things and wanted to get them checked out. That could be very beneficial.

We do wish you all the best in finding the answers to what's going on. Please keep us informed as to what you find out as that type of information can prove to be helpful for others on this site.

Thank You,

~Tom, GCCA Survivor - Colon Cancer Connected Site Administrator.
