I'm pleased my stool test has come back negative. I hope this means I don't have bowel Cancer.

Negative.
Hi benmaise,
Thanks for posting on Colon Cancer Connected. That is good news that your stool sample came back negative, however it does mean the test didn't find blood in your stool sample. That is what that means and it is not intended to determine if you have cancer or not. There can also be the possibility of a false negative result. What was it that caused you to get the test in the first place?
If you have been having other indications / signs, or have a family history, I would get some input from your doctor on the topic as there are other tests / procedures that can determine if there is bowel cancer present or not.
I do need to say that we don't offer medical advice, but we do share from our experiences - and we're always going to tell anyone with a medical concern, to see a medical professional.
We do wish you the very best in finding the answers you are searching for. If you are seeing signs that things are not normal for you, please get them checked out by you doctor. That's definitely the best way to truly know, get your answers and give you some peace of mind.
Thank you,

Just a reminder - this group is here to offer support, share experiences, and offer our thoughts - but this is not medical advice, and you should always consult your medical professional(s). Additionally, for all emergencies, seek urgent medical care, never delay.
Thank you, Tom. My mother had bowel Cancer. My symptoms are constipation at times. Feeling sick. Not enjoying my food as I did before. Noisy rumbling tummy. I do have Coeliac. but that's got nothing to do with it-I don't think. I am 78 so my age won't help. I am seeing the Doctor tomorrow. I will see what she says. I am in a terrible state worrying about Cancer. I hope you're keeping well. Katie.
