TP53 Mutation
Hi Rocoo7319,
Thank you for posting in Colon Cancer Connected. I'm sorry you are having to deal with this situation. TP53 does have a hereditary aspect to it. I do not know if the mutation acts as a resister to chemo. I did not find any information on that.
I did find this site to be of some value for information. I don't see where Lynch is specifically stated, but it is hereditary and therefore may be.
The investigation I've found show the following:
People with TP53 mutations have Li-Fraumeni syndrome (LFS).
Options for screening and early detection for men and women may include: comprehensive physical exam, rapid whole body MRI, colonoscopies, or other options depending on your personal and family history.

Looks like it needs to be narrowed down by an oncologist as to exactly what is going on with a specific patient. I did see some clinical trials out there, but they look to be targeted to specific cases.
We do wish you the best in finding answers. Maybe there are some on this site that have experience with TP53. But again, it looks to be many variations and should be addressed to a specific individual.
