hello first of all my English is bad. I'm 21 female i pooped last week with blood i was scared but that's not the first time i pooped with blood, the first is 3yrs ago and i just ignore it because i thought because i eat alot of spicy. So last week i pooped i thought i have my period but it's not and then the next day i tried to poop and there's no blood and then next day there's a blood small amount in stool. I'm so scared to the point that I'm shaking and can't stop thinking. I went to the doctor with my parents and the doctor said maybe it's anal fissure ,but if want to know i need to go to doctor expert to it and need colonoscopy but we don't have money for that and there's no other doctor in my province.Im so scared and can stop thinking about it. I will go again in doctor here in our province for ultrasound for my stomach because i think I'm also have gerd. But I can't stop worrying about blood in my stool last week.

Hi Citrusss,

Thank you for posting in Colon Cancer Connected. I really hate to hear you are having to deal with these issues. It is good to see you are aware of them and not ignoring them. I do wish you had better facilities to support your efforts.

Blood in the stool is definitely a sign that something needs to be checked out. There can be many causes for blood in the stool, some are very treatable with medication, diet change, and minor procedures, and of course, there are more serious reasons for blood in the stool as well.

You are young and you have that going for you, but that is not a reason to not get good answers to what's going on. Also, you are definitely not the first to experience this. What do others in your province do when they need a colonoscopy? Are there possibly some support groups that could assist in helping you get this done as well? The colonoscopy will go a long way to getting you good answers to what's going on. Is there a family history of having to deal with similar symptoms?

I do see the disparities between healthcare systems around the world. I also see that this is recognized by many institutions and actions are being taken to deal with this as well. I know change can be slow and you need answers as soon as you can get them.

Please focus on getting those answers and see if the doctors you get in front of can help you with some direction. I know it can be a tough and slow process, but one that needs to get done.

I do wish you the very best in getting this matter resolved. You are spot on and know what needs to get done. I'm proud of you for that. I do hope your doctors and their network can help you with this. I hate that it has to be such a tough thing for you.🧡

Please keep us up to date on what you find out. I hope there may be others on this site that could possibly give some advice that would be beneficial to you.
