Hello

I've been ill since after catching covid January 2020

I've had persistent common bile duct swelling with no stones

I've just finally had a scan after waititing this long because of covid they said bile duct was still swollen

That I have blood like that in the pictures since I caught covid so I wonder to you all has this been since covid because I feel there's some connection

I've had previously had and still have gastritis and also had twice helocobactor h pylori

Now that bug is nasty had flagyl a few times which is super strong antibiotics

I feel like my body is in crisis no resolution to my bowels because its taken me this long to get a scan and that's on basis I've had cervical cancer doesn't feel ill be seen in time by time they get down the nhs list I did get camera down but we only got past ospehpgus and had to stop.

When I have empty stomach I have something jaggy in my stomach how do I make myself be seen?? Is there a way I should ask for help from gp

Kind regards

Dianne

Hi DianneLove,

Thank you for posting in Colon Cancer Connected.

I hate to hear you are having to deal with all this. It looks like you are trying to get the answers, but you feel you are being pushed down the road and nothing is urgent. You must be dealing with the NHS in the UK?

Is there any way to get a 2nd opinion to your issues within the existing system? I actually did that during my cancer fight and found I was on the best path to deal with my situation. I wonder if that is possible for you to do?

Is there any way you can move your efforts to the private GP side and get the answers you are looking for?

Maybe others on this site have some information for you. We do wish you the very best in getting the information you need.

Hi Dianne. That looks like blood and mucous there. You need a colonoscopy to see what is going on. Have you showed this photo to the GP? I would suggest you make an appointment and show the photo. Insist you want to find out what is causing this bleeding and mucous. If they won't refer you, you could do what my friend did. She paid for a private consultation with a colorectal surgeon (approx £200 I think) and then he referred her to the NHS for the colonoscopy and she got seen quickly and only paid the consultation fee. You have to advocate for your own health. Good luck xx

I got a colonoscopy as fit test came back twice negative

They didn't complete colonoscopy into the traverse because I received a gamma loop while in the procedure I'm none the wiser now and have bile duct inflammation since 2017 and I still have pylori bacteria even though had eradication thearpy twice.

So I still have problem but that's how it went for me sorry I didn't update at time
