I used the restroom this morning and noticed blood and spiraled from there! I’m so scared I have an appt with the doctor tomorrow but can anyone offer support?

Hi, hope you have seen your doctor and have had your mind put at rest. It could be haemorrhoids, or perhaps you will need further investigations. Not all blood means cancer. Even if it is the earlier it is detected the better. You have done the right thing, docs appt. straight away. With me it is haemorrhoids, diverticulosis and they removed 4 benign polyps. I had a colonoscopy, and had a positive result. I hope yours is too. Good luck with your appt.
Did you have some clots as well? Please see my picture, pretty stressed as I’ve only got my father left.
No, I have had clots in the past, due to haemorrhoids, I had the colonoscopy because of a positive fit test. I don’t know your age but if you are young do not let them fob you off. If it isn’t haemorrhoids then a colonoscopy will discover the problem.
They gave me a cream for the hemorrhoids and havent had an issue since. However I do have an appointment for a scope that goes just inside, not a full colonscopy just to make sure thats what it is
Yes the cream works but also there is a suppository which is much better for internal haemorrhoids. It is a sigmoidoscopy that you are probably having. Hope all goes well.
Hi! I just saw your post, I mean my stool this morning was exactly the same as yours. I am pretty scared now.. Have you done the scope or colonoscopy? Did your doctor find the reason?😢
Hi Heyitsme22,
Thank you for posting in Colon Cancer Connected. Please don't be scared. There are a lot reasons for the symptoms you are experiencing. The very best thing you can do is exactly what you are doing and that's getting it checked out with your doctor. Please focus on getting more answers. It could be many different reasons.
We wish you the best with your appointment. Please let us know how it goes.
Thank You,
