Should I be worried about my abdomen?

For almost 2 weeks I have been experiencing pain around the abdomen (especially at night). My stomach also feels bloated most of the time with the exception of it feeling clear after going to the toilet. My bowel movement has also been unusual. Almost 2 months ago I had the same issue and I went to check the doctors only for them to say they saw nothing wrong. I have a family history of colon cancer and it has already taken my uncle and grandma. I’m about to book an appointment. Should I be worried? (No blood is in my stool or anything)

I'm glad you are going to schedule an appointment to see your doctor. It's important to be proactive and make sure any symptoms are being monitored. There are several screening tests that you may want to speak with your doctor about, including FIT, FOBT, Barium Enema, Virtual Colonoscopy and Standard Colonoscopy. Also, for more information on screening and prevention, visit our Global Colon Cancer Association website: GlobalCCA.org
