My husband has just been diagnosed with a 3cm sigmoid colon cancer, it’s encapsulated and hasn’t spread

Has anyone had anything similar? Wanted to know the potential treatment

Just chiming in to wish your husband good luck with his journey. Reddit has great forums for cancer patients as well as caregivers

What were his symptoms? And for how long? Did he have a colonoscopy before the sig? Or Sig was the only thing he got done?

I too have just had this exact diagnosis, I've had a sigmoidoscopy, MRI scan and CT scan, just a full colonoscopy to go. I'm awaiting a care plan. I know it will involve an operation but unsure about chemo or and other treatments afterwards. It's horrible having to wait isn't it ? Will keep you up to date when I hear any more.

What were your symptoms prior to? So what else should I do if I’ve already had a clean colonoscopy, CT scan, and blood work done? But still painless bleeding every now and then.

My only symptoms were a small amount of fresh blood on the tissue after going to the loo. No pain or weight loss. If you’re still worried go back to your GP and tell them your concerned.
