Is there a way to know that my colon is clean enough for an accurate procedure? 🤔

Anything coming out should be more or less clear or yellowish, no solids.

I’d say do exactly what they told you to do and you should be ok. Agree with the other person - pretty much like a healthy wee.

Hi Rain_ism

FIRST OFF: Good luck and please keep us updated with the results!

Secondly:

Apologies for the late reply and totally agree with bantam12 and Bmco . We always say to follow instructions from your doctor and if the prep isn't going as planned, to call them and let them know. Sometimes people can feel sick from the prep and not be able to complete it, or vomit and just, in general, don't do well with the prep.

Your doctor will let you know how well the bowel prep worked. There will be a bowel prep rating on your report that you will get (or if not, you can ask your doctor.). This is important information because if your colon still had fecal matter that prevented the doctor from seeing clearly, they may have to do another colonoscopy.

Additionally, if your bowel prep was adequate but not as good as they'd like, that's always an important conversation to have with your doctor so that you can discuss different bowel prep options as well as what else you can do to try to get your colon as colonoscopy-ready as possible.

Hope the colonoscopy was uneventful and we're here for you!
