Hello Members ,

I want to mention and learn your experiance if you can share on one of the issue I have been facing since 1 year ,I have constipation and bloating since 1 year ,I have bloating as soon as I eat something ,I haven't had any visible blood in my stool from last one year since when symptoms started ,I get ease on constipation when I take psyllium husk ,but it adds up extra bloating ,I will get motion easily if I take fiber ,if I dont take then I will be constipated .Also I want to mention I have never had cramping and stomach aches in this entire period .I have doubted it to be Colon cancer ,I have consulted the doctor and have asked me to have colonoscopy which I will be doing soon ,But I want to learn if someone has faced something similar. I also want to mention that I am diabetes and 36 years old .

Dear Anishnair9,

Thank you for posting and I'm sorry to read about what you are experiencing. The best thing you can do is to get that colonoscopy so your doctor can get a clear view of your full colon and determine what is the cause of these symptoms.

There are so many possible reasons why you could be experiencing these symptoms - many of them could be very treatable chronic conditions or issues that can be corrected with medication and diet changes.

Be sure to give your doctor all medications that you take, including over the counter medications. It may also be helpful to keep track of what you eat and what your bowel habits are, to see if there are any patterns.

When is your colonoscopy scheduled for?

Please keep us updated.

Sincerely,

Nicole @GCCA

It doesn’t sound like colon cancer so I wouldn’t worry, but get the colonoscopy to give you peace of mind, it’s something else but I wouldn’t think it’s serious. Good luck

Thank you for your reply and taking time to add a note for this and fortunately it is something else ,I did my colonoscopy today ,And my colonoscopy came out to be normal . I should have got this done way earlier just like as you said to have peace of mind ,I learnt from my experience that we should all get tested and share our experience to all .I will be now looking to meet my primary care physician to check other disorder ,Gastro Dr told me to adjust diet habbits and I will be meeting the GP now ,Will post my next steps .

Glad to hear that you had a clean colonoscopy. If you start to again experience symptoms, speak to your specialist about medication or diet changes that may be needed so that you can live your life with the bowel issues hopefully becoming manageable.

Again, congratulations!
