Hi clay. I passed blood for four days last week which was very frightening. I went straight to my doctor and she examined me and said she can feel a pile. I passed some Light green stools also. In view of my age - 58 - I am now referred to hospital and have done a stool test also. because I am now so anxious when I go to the toilet I don’t feel that I have emptied my bowels properly and am windy and have stomach ache. It’s very stressful isn’t it but I can only say not to hesitate to go to doctor as the chances are it can be so so many other things. I feel it’s when people ignore their symptoms for a long time. that you risk problems.
Make an appointment with your doctor. You will need a colonoscopy to make sure nothing is going on. Could be anything. Until then try not to worry just eat more fiber and drink more water to prevent constipation. This will help you because it helped me. I was having same issues as you. I had a colonoscopy and had some small polyps removed. They would have turned into cancer possibly if not removed. Stay away from red meat and processed meat. Try eating a plant based diet if you can chicken and fish and turkey are ok. Just make sure you are getting in lots of fruits and vegetables daily. Also pray and trust God. 🙏🏽
It nice to know you treated before any serious problem. I also see blood in toilet while pooping this friday. On Saturday I went to ER done my anal fingure exam, blood test and ct scan it was normal they found nothing. Tomorrow I have to see gastrologist for colonoscopy and I pray to god it will come negative.
Hello claym2882, Thank you for sharing and I'm sorry to read about what's going on. As the others have posted, I encourage you to see a doctor and get it checked out. While there could be a number of reasons why you are experiencing these symptoms, the only way for you to know for certain is to see a specialist and get an examination. In advance of your appointment, it may be helpful to keep a diary to note the symptoms you've been experiencing, as well as anything else of note (eating something unusual, physical activities that could aggravate the area, such as riding a bicycle, etc.). Please keep us posted and hang in there, we're here for you!
