What would u do

Painless Rectal Bleeding for about the last 6 months. Visited my own local doc who completed an exam and could not see anything and out it down to a fissure and advised me on water and fibre. Have done this and this has helped but I still get rectal bleeding when passing a motion. Haven't noticed anything changed in my habit about from when I did go to the doc I was slightly constipated but that is now resolved. My motions are now soft.

I tried a stool softener although it gave me bad stomach cramps but throughout the time I used this I did not get any bleeding.

Struggling to get through to my own doc, should I continue with conservative treatment and try a different stool softener? Or is there anything else?

Should note again painless rectal bleeding and normally can just see blood on toilet paper which is a small amount. Sometimes it's merely just a tint to the toilet paper and is so light when light shines through it you can't even see blood so not really that heavy at all other times it's a small smear

Hello. Sounds like you should request to see a specialist. They will do more test like a Sigmoidoscopy or maybe even a colonoscopy. Maybe you have some small changes in colon like a polyp or diverticulosis. Just call or go to your Doctor and tell them you want to see a specialist. But you will be ok. God Bless and believe and trust in the Lord.

Hello, I echo what Bull23 said about seeing a specialist. Always best to get it checked out by a specialist. Please keep us posted.
