Slowly the health business is coming to realize that the doctors cannot possibly know everything, and that there are web sites like this that pull together patients with shared experiences.

Some ' old school ' doctors are visibly upset / annoyed when you ask too many questions. These, often older doctors, are not used to having their patients question their judgement.

Thus it becomes important that we find a doctor who is happy to explain why he thinks this is the best drug or solution to our problem.

Gradually the knowledgeable patient, or e-patient, will come to a situation where, working together with our doctors WE decide what is the best for OUR health.

This has now reached the time where this becomes a television program.

The following link is for a YouTube video promoting a PBS television program on this subject.
