Candida guilliermondii

I have had a chest infection since July of last year with 4 different antibiotics to treat. My latest CT scan reported it was clear now. However I still have a productive cough. The lastest sputum test reported Candida guilliermondii. I am told by the Haematological doctor that this is not a condition that they treat unless I am unwell.

Does this sound right? Should I be asking for treatment?
