Had a routine Doctor's visit (not my cll dr) and he discussed something about blood thickness. My general health Doctor is from India and interesting coincidence his mother had cLL and she recently died in her 80s from dementia. So I looked it up and apparently if you have leukemia your blood can thicken up which is not good. Anybody use supplements or foods to prevent this.

Blood sludging can be a problem with some leukaemias, where the leukaemia cells are large. Thankfully, CLL/SLL cells are small, barely larger than red blood cells, so they don't thicken the blood. See healthunlocked.com/cllsuppo...

Hi FloridaGal…..Also a Floridian…I have had CLL for over 4 years and have the opposite…..bleed fairly easily from a simple thorn prick, scratch etc…..only take 1 ‘baby’ aspirin daily so perhaps ask ur doc if that simple remedy affects ur situation?
Has your doctor ruled out Polycythemia Vera?
Did your doctor say that your blood was too thick? Or did he mean it is too thin? I haven't heard about CLL causing the blood to be too thick.
