Treatment

I’ve been in Acalabrutinib for 3 months now. At first I had a few side affects ie Headaches, Light headed. Feeling a little nauseous . But most of that has passed now. The worst were my headaches. But believe it or not I started taking iced coffee and it cleared it. Better than paracetamol . Seeing my Heamatologist soon to see if my white blood count has lowered . The treatment is manageable . Few aches in my legs. But I’m coping quite well .

Shona.

I, too, had headaches at first with Acalabrutinib. Caffeine definitely got rid of them. I’ve been on it since January and feel great. So far no leg pain, only an occasional red rash on my face that disappears within a day or two. A small price to pay for a drug that works so well. Best of luck to you, Jan

I’m getting pains in my legs . Also I’m on antibiotics with this tablet. I was having dizzy spells. Which I sometimes still get them . But I feel better in myself not so tired anymore. I have been going in an Oxygen chamber which helps me a lot . Good luck . Hope you continue to feel well. I’ve only been on my medication 8 weeks. But I feel better than I did.

My hg is low and my white count is up. My Heamatologist told me it is to be expected. Just starting my medication. But hopefully I get a better result Tuesday when I see him🙏🏼. Take care and I wish you well.

Hello & Congrats on 3 months!!!🎉🎉🎉 I was in the Hospital 3X in 3 months when I started with Zanubrutinib. I did 10.5 weeks with Acalabrutinib too & them headaches ain’t no joke. They say caffeine & extra fluids work best, which you have discovered. Yes I felt muscle/bone pain & fatigue also but moving really helps. It seemed that sitting around intensified the pain & fatigue. Just walk & you will walk the pain right off. And with fatigue find your routine & leave room for naps to recharge if needed 😴 GODSPEED 🙏🏾
