Hi all hope today finds you well. Recently posted that my cll is back after 4 yrs but on watch and wait as it was found accidentally as I was having a pet scan for something else. Just wondering if anyone else suffers from aching joints and pain especially in my legs. Didnt have this first time around. Don't know if this could be the cll or getting old 😂😂.

Achng joints and muscles
I had aching feet, legs and shoulders. Then night sweats. I had tests and found out I had Leukaemia. I have CLL and I am on watch and wait. I took paracetamol and now amitriptyline. Still have pain at night mostly.
Awww sorry to hear yr suffering as well. It bothers me more at night and like yrself take paracetamol when it gets to much. At the moment it's the only symptoms am getting. Even last time I was fortunate to never have any sweats. Hope u keep well take care xx
More often than not people have these problems thanks to decades of consuming food like substances that no human should ever consume. Is there any room to clean up your diet? To remove inflammatory substances and replace them with anti-inflammatory ones? If yes it would be advisable to do the swap.
Daisy have you been referred to Orthopaedics ? I had painful ankle joints that was eventually diagnosed as bone marrow oedema ! When I read up it appears suddenly and then disappears, as mine did.

Thank you for yr reply. To be truthful haven't even mentioned it the doctors. Go to the hospital in April will mention it to them. U take car x
Daisy you might get a quicker response if you speak to your GP. I did the rounds of a podiatrist, several physiotherapists before orthopaedics. Once I get going I don’t stop.
I started taking Magnesium and it really helped with joint pain. Jigsaw Mag SRT (slow release tablets) at night and it was a game changer. Best Wishes
About 1 week ago, I lifted a heavy box which lead to a lower back pain one hour later. Within a day or so the lower back pain “spread” to slightly below my right hip on my back right side and the pain seemed to radiate down to my thigh, which made it impossible for me to walk without extreme pain. On day 2, I went to urgent care who performed exrays and said I had sciatica and arthritis. As of today, I no longer have back pain or pain below my hip. The remaining pain is in my right front thigh which still makes it difficult to walk without pain even when using a cane. I am 76 years old and until last week when I hurt my back, I never had any arthiritic pain or discomfort. I was diagnosed with CLL in 2004. After reading this thread, I wonder if any of the foregoing is caused or aggravated by my CLL?
Maybe. You can never know with this disease and unfortunately getting older. I have ordered some magnesuim that each from previous post recommended so going to give them a try. Looking into it magnesium seems to help a awful lot. U take care x
My cancer has morphed from Waldenstrom Macroglobulinemia to a small amount of CLL as well. Along with this came the aching muscles / joints - and mainly in legs. I find pushing through an exercise regime everyday makes the rest of the day (and night) easier to handle. Its a bit painful to get going as exercises is often the last thing you feel like doing but outcomes worth it .
Thank you for yr reply. I had to look up yr cancer as I haven't heard of that before. Yes my husband had non hodgkins lymphoma which is similar to yrs. Eventually had a bone marrow transplant and is still here doing really well 14 yrs later.. Will start trying some exercises in the morning to see if that helps Wish u all the best in yr journey. Keep well
Sorry to hear about your aches and pains, Daisy. So many things can cause aches and pains. Old shoes, diet, lack of exercise... the list goes on and on. While you wait for a doctor's appointment, some things you can do in the mean time include: making sure you aren't wearing worn out shoes, eating plenty of whole grains, fruits and vegetables, limiting junk food (eliminating it is even better!), finding some regular exercise and gentle stretching exercises that work for you. I hope you feel better soon. I have discovered that I'm sensitive to gluten and if I eat too many wheat products I develop lots of joint pains and aching feet. So I limit my intake.
I have had problems with my hip ever since I broke my foot in my mid thirties! The thing that made a huge difference was shoes. Really springy trainers. Since I gave up work and stopped having to wear office gear, I have stuck to tough walking shoes with supportive insoles and have experienced a huge improvement.Other big factors in my case are going on HRT aged 58; and working at my local Oxfam shop lifting books and bags and generally toning up my muscles. Stronger muscles around the joints protect them from wear and tear.
