I am in the hospital now, my neutrophils are at zero! I am getting pumped up,

so hopefully this will help. I have an infection

going on, so we are attacking that. I have a good oncologist. I might be here for Thanksgiving

there are worse places, so on to being

Healthy! Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Glad that you are in the hospital. The best place to be at this point. My neutrophils were at 0 too and a few times almost zero (0.17, 0.2) - the doctors always managed to resolve it and I got better. I'm positive you will start feeling better soon.

I had chronic neutropenia throughout 11 years of watch and wait, then 5 weeks in hospital with febrile neutropenia just after the start of my treatment with AVO. Most of my hospital days were spent keeping IV antibiotic infusions running. I missed out on Christmas and New Year. My hospital room had a great view of the city's New Year firework display, but I was too ill to get to the window to view them. I was needing at times daily G-CSF shots to keep my neutrophil count boosted. I haven't needed a G-CSF shot from half way through my AVO treatment, which commenced back in 2019.

Check out the section on neutropenia in this pinned post on how to stay infection free with neutropenia

Hi Lisbon, i hope that being in the hospital promotes well being and better health for you, and that you find today to be comfortable, and that you'll have a good Thanksgiving day as well.

Hello Lisbon,

I'm sorry to hear you are struggling at the moment. I was in the hospital two times last year and thought I might never get better but I did. It took a while but with the help of all of the doctors and nurses I am in a much better place now. Wishing better days ahead for you too. Sending healing vibes your way!

I can totally understand your bone and back pain. I'm trying everything for my back. After I was put on allopurinol, bone pain has lessen. I'll keep you in my prayers. Cindi
