2 weeks ago I received the wonderful news that I was in remission; something I never thought would happen. Bad news is 2 days later I was in hospital with A Fib thanks to Calquence. Had to stop taking the chemo obviously and am now on heart meds. Trying to get the medics to talk to the haem team was hard so I made that call myself.......called the nurse specialist and she sorted them out.
After 12 days in hospital on iv furosemide I`m now home. My legs are so painful and heavy thanks to muscles weakness they will take some getting going again. Something I`ve had since before diagnosis; just took me a while to put 2 and 2 together.
Don`t let my experience put anyone off trying calquence as we all react differently. I`ve been on it 2.5years with no problems. Just annoying that it`s started as I go into remission. Just hope I don`t start haemolysing again.
