I recently had to change from Imbruvica to Calquence due to afib issues. I had a blister pack of doses of Imbruvica left over. That's over$10,000 at list price. Hated to just turn it in to recycle and was hoping someone else could use it. After searching online, I found SIRUM (sirum.org/donate/) . Other than CA, OR, AK or HI, individuals in other states can donate through SIRUM and have it used rather than destroyed. Good thing to know as many of us have to change our med due to various off target side effect issues.

What to do with leftover medications?
I trashed an open container of remaining Venclexta - probably valued at $7000
Here in the UK pharmacy staff refuse to take back medication which is not opened and no longer needed. The amount of money wasted is frightening. I can understand the need for safety issues but it just seems such a waste.
Our local pharmacy takes unwanted medicines. I found this :-
"In England, all pharmacies are legally obliged to accept unwanted medicine. If you've received medicine you no longer need, you can take it to any local pharmacy and they'll dispose of it safely for you'
our local ones here in Yorkshire won’t take medication back. My friend was told a definite no! She dumped them in the bin outside the shop, very irresponsible,I told her because children could quite easily get hold them. I have crushed tablets up and flushed down the loo but I wonder about the water system. Oh I really don’t know the answer!!
I would point your local pharmacy here, as they are breaking the law by refusing to take them back to dispose of :-cpe.org.uk/national-pharmac...
I gave my remaining Ibrutinib to my H/O and he saw that it got to the right person.
Give it to someone who is on the drug. Don't waste it.
