ALCALABRUTINIB and high blood pressure.

Does anyone has experience with High blood pressure in the morning? I notified my oncologist he said that readings of 135- 58- 67 to 160-85-71 were not alarming and I should continue with only one capsule of ALCALabrutinib a day. Yet I become a wreck with terrible anxiety when I see those figures. Can anyone reassure me ? 🙏🏼

IDK why you think these are terrible, The lower range you listed is totally normal. The higher ones are a bit high for a calm, non anxious person....but if you get anxiety your blood pressure will spike up. Our BP does rise a bit with age, and it's not going to be the same as when we were in our 40's.

I guess I get anxious easily 🙃. Thank you Sofia. The chart does register hypertension above 140... I managed to get it down with EFT (emotional freedom technique) tapping on certain meridian points while reapeating affirmations...

I have had higher bp and that is with beta blockers and other bp meds. I got afib from ibrutinib. Took 6 month holiday. Then went on half dose acalabrutinib. The bp i have is often as high or higher than yours with the beta blockers etc. Docs blamed cough on heart but i believe it is something else because I had it before bp problems. When i take a proper walk, next day bp is much lower. For anxiety i take occasional clonazapam. It helps with keeping bp diwn. My mom had over 160 bp for many years (over 20) and that was with bp meds. She lived to 93 and was quite active.

my BP used to be double digits over double digits. On ibrutinib, it is regularly between 135 and 155 over 60 to 80. Age (72), drug (possibly), and simply taking my BP contribute to the rise. I put that cuff on, and my body tenses. It’s like brain freeze in an exam…

My doc(s) are having me check it regularly to determine if it’s an issue or not. I’ll worry when they worry. Save anxiety for bigger stuff

I can only agree with everything being said already. I love exercise for stress because of all the other benefits that go along with it too; improved cardiovascular system, endurance, strength, flexibility & them awesome endorphins. Its a win win win proposition just don’t over do it. Unfortunately my Type A Personality didn’t want to let go of my Exercise Program during treatment induction & had pleurisy from over exertion that led to a pleura effusion/pneumonia due to incompetency. So I am taking baby steps back to my Homegym🙌🏾 Only on the Lifepro Rumblex Max 4D Vibration Plate to help drain the Lympathic System & Maintain a Tone Body
