i have been taking imbruvica for five years so i had my appointment with my oncologist yesterday and my platelet count is 78 and my lymphocyte percent is 54%. should i be concerned.

Hi Buddy and welcome to our community!

It's trends in absolute counts which are important with CLL. With respect to your platelet count, that may be adequate. Do you have any increase of petechiae appearing (pinhead sized red dots) or are you bruising or bleeding more often than usual? Have you changed your diet or started taking any drugs recently?

With respect to your lymphocyte results, what's important are your trends in your absolute lymphocyte counts and your absolute neutrophil counts. You need sufficient neutrophils (ideally above 1.5 or 1,500 depending upon your lab) and a stable lymphocyte count. If absolute counts are not provided by your lab, you can calculate them by multiplying your WBC total by the respective percentages.
