I’ve been checking in on this site frequently but this is my first post. I started Acalabrutinib 3 weeks ago and so far I have only experienced mild side effects, some nausea and headaches in the beginning but it has already gotten much better. I now feel fine most of the days.
i noticed that sone of my lymph nodes have definitely decreased in size, over the first couple of weeks, but many are still present and I am worried that the treatment is not working as well as I expected. I have the SLL version, I have been on WW for 7 years and this is my first time getting treatment.
how long does it typically take for the lymph nodes to disappear? I’d appreciate some feedback.

So very happy you have found our community..it is a great place with loads of all sorts of support. I have been on Calquence for about 9 months and I am doing great! This is my third line treatment. Just be aware that the first two months your labs will increase in some areas and then begin the descending. Some nodes shrink rapids while others may take a bit longer. Just be patient and give it time. I had labs and IVIG this past Tuesday and I had the best labs in the 33+ years that I have had CLL. This is a good treatment and may it long served both of us. All the very best to you!
I started acalabrutinib four weeks ago after over 20 years W & W and was terrified - my lymph nodes have already almost disappeared and I have hardly any side effects …… I’m drinking at least 2 litres of water a day and am doing ok - I have many other problems and am taking life one day a time ….. persevere! This seems like an amazing new drug …..
