”Peripheral blood natural killer (NK) activity in patients with B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (B-CLL) is frequently low or absent. Because cimetidine (a histamine-2 antagonist) has been shown to alter human lymphocyte function in vitro, we decided to study cimetidine's effect on peripheral blood NK activity of patients with B-CLL and controls.” …

…“These data suggest that cimetidine may be useful to augment peripheral blood NK activity for patients with B-CLL.”

I understood little of it but I like the "it can suppress the metastasis of the tumor cell in a nude mouse model" part 😁. Naughty mouse. Should definitely get dressed before the next modeling job.

That is a comical choice for a term. Maybe they shave them? I dunno.

"Nude mouse" refers to a certain genetic strain, used in research. They are hairless so don't need to be shaved, lol

Rather small study. What does your specialist say? Is it helping yourNK cell activity?

He said it was fine to take. I sorta looked at it as if I have a choice for heart burn medicine and there’s no harm I might as well use this medication.

Also, there are some additional studies. Often with other cancers. Colorectal and melanoma are listed as others. I’m not really sure if I’ve even found all the studies available for CLL.

It looks like that paper/report is from 1987. Seems cimetidine would be widely used today if it panned out, no?

I think some of the lack of interest, is the H1 blockers can change nutrient and drug absorption. So this class of meds are not recommended for long term use, even if relatively healthy. Let alone if we are ill, and suddenly our med absorbtion changes let alone nutrients from our foods.
