This webinar is hosted by Leukaemia Care to inform leukaemia patients and their families on COVID-19 recommendations and available strategies to aid navigating during the coming winter.

In July the government and NHS set out the next steps for 2022 flu and COVID-19 vaccination programmes for the autumn and winter and confirmed additional groups that will now be offered the flu vaccine. JVCI advice on who should receive an autumn COVID-19 booster dose was accepted and this programme is now underway.

This webinar a seeks to update you on the significance of the seasonal flu vaccination and where we are today with COVID 19 immunisation strategies, treatment and recommendations:

· Who is eligible for seasonal flu jabs and COVID - boosters this autumn and winter?

· When are these available to different groups?

· What type of vaccines are recommended this year?

· What day to day measures should leukaemia patients employ this winter to avoid infection?

· What other therapies are available or under review for protecting the immune - compromised?

· Where is information available to help me understand how COVID infection in the immune compromised and what to do if I test positive for COVID?
