"I'm finished I'm getting too unbelievably tired I had a crisis yesterday then extreme tiredness because I danced I'm fascinated by their energy they don't get tired I'm sad because my energy is too low. I want to cry because of my tiredness"

this is the sad message that my girlfriend sent me today. It's overwhelming and sad to feel that at his young age of 24. she finds herself in a summer camp. she has a relapse I think after trying.

knowing that she has been doing blood tests for two months and everything is perfect with the blood values. the doctor prescribed only vitamins.

what do you think family?

how should she do?

thank for every one

Hi Buhber,

-

Your situation is very complex, with a 23 year old girlfriend with CLL in Algeria.

Fatigue is very common among CLL patients, but it can have many other causes that take a serious effort for the doctors to make certain there is not a more common problem causing the fatigue. Your English is admirable, and no need to apologize, we will figure out your messages.

I go the the articles carefully. thank you

Hi is she on any other medication? I recently found that the blood pressure tablet i had been taking for quite a few years was what was causing me problems not the CLL. Once I stopped this tablet I felt much better and had more energy. So just a thought to consider for anyone in here. It might not always be CLL that is giving you problems.

Despite having blood tests every 4 weeks nobody noticed I was deficient in vitamin B12. Iron can be low with this.Diabetes can also cause fatigue. I have terrible fatigue and get just like your girlfriend.

She needs to eat well with food that gives energy. Obvious I know but if she is fatigued it is hard preparing food. My husband cooks and some days I know I would eat rubbish if I had to do it.

Its not good that the doctor dismisses her with vitamin tablets. Is she too thin? Unfortunately if a reason cant be found she will need to pace herself. You are very kind and I am sorry you cant help her, Anne uk

Fatigue, shortness of breath and an inclination to vomit could be symptoms of anemia. If her hemoglobin is also okay it is definitely strange to have these symptoms.

I have been diagnosed with vitamin B12 deficiency. I read that this goes with iron deficiency. I am going for my 2nd jab later. I eat well and was surprised but some meds I take can stop B12 being absorbed. Anne uk

Do you eat B12 rich foods?

Yes I do eat those foods. I was really surprised but I take some meds that affect the body processing it. I can imagine vegetarians need to be careful but I eat meat, salmon, eggs and milk among other foods. Im not low on iron.My GP said to have a routine blood test to rule it out. I was surprised when the nurse rang and said the doctor wanted me to have 5 jabs. I had the second one yesterday. I think that the pain in my legs is improved but I dont want to get my hope up.

Buhber, I hope your friend can get better soon. You said you wish you could be with her. I bet she wishes that just as much. Try to plan to contact each other at the same time or times each day. That might help to close the distance between you two until you can get together again.🙂Sandra
