Good result in my latest antibody test via "Monitor My Health" Should I put off my 5th vaccination until later?

In the last 12 months I have paid for antibody tests 3 times. Each one said I had antibodies but never more than 200 (can't explain the numbers but other posts do).

In March I got covid and was given a sotrovimab infusion, pumped up with antibodies and suffered relatively mild symptoms. I have my 5th vax booked in early May as advised by my specialist and that will be 5 weeks after onset of symptoms and infusion. Last vax (the 4th) was in early January.

This week I bought another antibody test from MMH and was surprised that my result this time was:

"Positive >2500.0 U/mL These results indicate that you have developed an immune response to the vaccine."

I am pleased to have got this but obviously won't be maskless in a night club anytime soon.

My question is though, would it make sense to postpone my next vax to get longer term positive results. I have tried to contact my specialists but as usual that is easier said then done.

Any experiences or ideas out there? Thanks in advance. Alan

Alan,

I don't know what your antibody test measured, but wonder if it is measuring antibodies from your sotrovimab infusion and perhaps what you produced from your COVID-19 infection?

Knowing that answer should improve the accuracy of any speculation, which will also be influenced by the likely protection you'll have from the new variants anticipated to become dominant where you live.

I’m in exactly the same boat and wondered whether I should delay my 5th to give me some additional antibodies later down the line.

I thought I read somewhere suggesting not have a covid vaccination until a certain amount of time has elapsed post sotrovimab

28 days after sotrovimab. But my vax is next week 5 weeks after the infusion. Still wondering if I should postpone and give myself more times with raised antibody levels.

I would postpone. Looks like they don't need boosting at this time.

Thanks for advice on here. Got to speak to one medic who is not a specialist but general feeling is that having the vaccination for a 5th time one month later might be best. Probably I have a decent high of antibodies from sotrovimab infusion and the covid infection. Leaving for one month before 5th might spread longer over the year.

Hi Alan can you tell me if you were given a full or half dose for your 5th vaccination? I’ve just had my 5th which was Moderna and was given a half dose. I have tried but failed to get a reply from my hospital as to whether this was correct. Gilly

Yet to have it but Blood Cancer Uk site says half dose Moderna is the correct dose
