May I ask, why are you asking about Pyostacine? Has your doctor prescribed this in the past for you? If so, please see a doctor as soon as possible, if you have a history of vancomycin or methicillin resistant staph aureus.
Our CLL can affect our immune system, making us more susceptible to infections. This is more likely contributing to recurrent infections, as opposed to the medication. How are your neutrophil counts, how often do you get blood tests? Have your neutrophils changed a lot since starting ibrutinib?
I'm on ibrutinib 420 mg. daily and just this week (after one month treatment) I suddenly developed red rash and raised blisters on my mid-chest and back. Rash can be a side effect so I'm giving it a little time to see whether it lessens or worsens before contacting the doctor. Annoying and quite sore to say the least!
