I thought CLL patients were supposed to get a test kit for when they caught Covid here's me in bed with Covid symptoms and no kit, although I have an old kit from last year, which has proved positive and cannot get one from 119.

Hi Ellim,
-
I believe that you only need a positive test to contact your CMDU

-
Please advise them you are CEV & have a positive test and request treatment with either Paxlovid or one of the antibody treatments.
-
Don't provide any more information other than answering their questions as briefly as possible. You need to start treatment ASAP, especially today, not waiting until Monday.

Don't worry that you used an "old" PCR test kit, they are good for 22 months according to the labelling on my spare kit. If the NHS registered the kit to you, the result should be too.
As Len says, you need to start treatment ASAP. Protocol says within 5 days of first symptoms but may be extended to 7.
As I understand it you need to be referred to a CMDU who will then contact you.
At the weekend it's either call your surgery's emergency number or call 111 and be prepared to wait to speak to someone who can make the referral. Emphasise you are severely immunosuppressed with a haematological malignancy, CLL.
Best of luck.
Hi David, sorry to read you are unwell. I was sent a PCR priority test kit and instructions. You need to contact Leukaemia Care. I am away until tomorrow but when I get home I will check what mine says and get back to you. I am sure you need to contact the Heamatologist department at Scarborough (I know you have your bloods at Practice 3 but whether they will know what to do is debatable. Please take care.

Ah good, do take care. We have to start venturing out and we have had a lovely weekend in the Lakes. We actually had meal out, our first since February 2020! It was so lovely to feel ‘normal’Alice x
