Has anyone had a late onset skin reaction to Venetoclax? I have been on it for 19 months and the past month and a half my arms, legs and torso are giving me some serious problems. The only thing that seems to be getting to the condition is Eucerin Eczema Formula cream. I am getting concerned about this, and will see a dermatologist in early April, but I have gotta make it another month.

Venetoclax Skin Reaction - Late Onset
I am wondering…..19 months and just now an issue? I was just wondering if it might be something else you have an allergy to. Have you changed brands of laundry soap or anything along that line….changed something in your diet? Allergies are hard to sort out!! Also, have you checked in with your CLL doctor??
Good luck I hope you are able to pin point your problem!!!

I was in a trial with Venetoclax for 2 years. When I finished, I started to have an itch. still have it 18 months later.

Why do you think it's the V? Could it be something else?
I have been on veneteclax for 22 months. . I have itching and redness on my body and head with severe hair loss. I consulted 2 dermatologists, who made the same diagnosis: skin reaction caused by a treatment. Venetoclax is the only medication I take. I found on a medical site :
« Dermal side effects of targeted therapy
“Targeted treatments work by acting on specific characteristics that control cancer cells. However, these drugs can also change skin cells and other cells in the body, causing side effects. Common skin changes are itching, dryness, sun sensitivity, and change in skin color. »
Hello
Sorry to hear that you are now experiencing awful skin problems. I have ramped up twice to the full dose of Venetoclax and each time have an itchy head and neck - it seems that the medication brings out my eczema slightly - so apply creams and take Piriton to help sleep due to itching. Seems to be under control now. I hope you find something that works for you. All the best
Kevin. I’ve been on V about 22 months all in all, hoping to complete a two-year course. A month ago I got itchy, red patches on my wrists and arms. It felt a bit like shingles (that I had 25 years ago) and it didn’t respond to cortisone cream (tramcinolone acetenoid) that works on normal winter patchiness/dryness. I was lucky to get an appointment with a dermatologist linked to my oncologist in New York. He told me it was just eczema that’s common on these medications. He said I should switch from Dial soap to Dove sensitive skin (or another nondrying soap) and not take more than one warm (not hot) shower a day. He prescribed fluocinonide ointment 0.05% to rub on twice a day. That worked for me. … He also recommended Eucerin Advanced Repair which is thick but absorbs, and also Aquaphor years ago which is greasy petroleum jelly but feels heavy duty and righteous for the body. My guess is the Eucerin you’re using is even better. … It seems the fluocinonide was key to controlling it. Perhaps a video visit or a general physician or a NP or Physician Assistant could be helpful as you await the April appointment. Good luck. Bill
I had skin rash and dryness with calquence. Aveeno eczema therapy balm works wonders
