The Latest JCVI advice says. Booster vaccination should now be offered in order of descending age groups, with priority given to the vaccination of older adults and those in a COVID-19 at-risk group.
If you were 29 and your booster is due later this month, do you go to the back of the queue based on descending age groups rule.

It was more about someone who is 29, who has had their 2 primary vaccinations (last vaccination 5 1/2 months ago) and are 2 weeks away from their scheduled booster. How does the new rules (of 3 months and age descending) affect them in getting their booster in 2 weeks time?
My understanding is that currently the booster (six months after your son’s last) won’t be offered to him yet unless he falls under the occupational heading as urgent... I think currently (please note the word “think”) that boosters are being given to those over 40, those who are vulnerable and those who work with people who are vulnerable. They are also encouraging younger teenagers to have their first vaccination. If your son doesn’t fall into any of those categories I would suggest he waits six months and one week after his last and tries to book an appointment. He might get priority over others in his age group if he lives with you. Either way well done to him for being vaccinated!
