Confused or what

kitchengardener2 profile image

The third jab is all very complicated and confusing. I had a text letter from my GP to ring and book a booster. I rang 119 and they tell me that I am not yet eligible! I rang the GP and asked about this and the third jab. They said that when they and I get the letter from the consultant it will give me a number to ring for appointment for 3rd jab. No idea why the system says not eligible for booster now!! I asked if they had the number, she said yes but she couldn't give me it! So I have to wait for the letter, hopefully get a 3rd jab and then wait six months or weeks (depending who you speak to)for a booster??? Saw my consultant yesterday and Dr Munro said take whatever I am offered. Hopefully more vaccine might give the immune system a kick 🤞🤞

Have a good safe day xxx 🤗😘🤗😘

It’s all such a mess isn’t it? My specialist nurse also said to take what I was offered as her interpretation was not for ‘W&W’.Big sigh 🤷‍♀️

I phoned 119 yesterday and they said I am not on their books and that I should phone my GP which I did and they said that they are not doing jabs, I wonder whether Father Christmas knows.

I hate to say this but he isn’t real 🤫

Have you tried your Consultant. He is the one that is supposed to inform your GP’s surgery.

Yes, you obviously got the same guy as me! Station Ave were really less than helpful (unusual because I usually get good answers). Let you know what happens when I get the letter from Dr Munro. In all fairness, it's not her field so all she can do is write the relevant letters.

It looks like we Leukaemia sufferers don't count, we still have to wait the stipulated 6 months from the 2nd jab, a friend of mine who is younger than me and no underlying illnes s as far as I know, had his booster yesterday at Station Avenue medical centre

Similar response here one has to wait to get a letter from the NHS to have 3rd jab. Never mind a booster. Not holding my breath just doing my best to stay safe in this uncertain time.

I emailed my husband’s specialist nurse this week about the third jab. She said it wasn’t clear from the documents she has seen and will ask one of the consultants for guidance. It’s surprising that I may have been the first to ask the question as he attends a well regarded hospital for CLL. But maybe unless you belong to one of the forums, people don’t even know about third jabs.
