Just found this whilst trawling the net, its it good or bad for Ibrutinib users?

T cell and antibody responses induced by a single dose of ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 (AZD1222) vaccine in a phase 1/2 clinical trial
Zaax,
I think bkoffman was in this trial. My guess will be that without a fully functional immune system with adequate IGA, IGM, and IGG we won’t fair well with any vaccine.
Our hope lies in herd immunity and drugs that will reduce this virus to the level of the flu. Perhaps infusions of lab created antibodies.

My 3rd shot JNJ produced no antibodies after 2 Modernas. Did feel flu-like after 2nd Moderna and after JNJ. I am on Ibrutinib. Has anyone on Ibrutinib has a response to vaccines I wonder.
I know that I didn’t after my 2 Moderna’s.
I've been on ibrutinib for over two years. A COVID-19SARS IgG test six weeks after Moderna's second shot produced a reaction, indicating current or prior COVI-19 infection, which I never had. The same test prior to the vaccine injections resulted in negative reading. I concluded the vaccine produced COVID-19 antibodies. What test did you have?
For us, our best bet is to continue to wear masks and if we do get the covid 19, is to get the Monoclonal Antibodies Cocktail as early as possible.
We need to see T-cell responses in CLL patients. Various groups are working on it.
I've done a search om the paper for CLL, BTK, inhibitor and Kinase. All produced a null result and therefore I don't think the findings are relevant to CLL.Someone has stated we have to continue with current precautions. Face masks avoid crowded indoors with poor ventilation, face masks etc. That said the face masks generally used provide little or no protection to the wearer, but catch exhaled water droplets of exhaled breath reducing spread. wearing a mask indoors when no one else is, is about as useful as a chocolate tea pot. Result is we may have to restrict our freedom further to stay safe.
