I wonder if anyone can gave me an answer as to this diagnosis report. I got this report from an anti body test but couldn't get anyone yet to explain it to me.

If no one can explain this I will wait for my next visit to the Hematologist.

Total WBC = 9.0 Units = x10^9/L

Lymphocytes total = 67

69% of lymphocytes are Lamdarestricted CD19+., CD5+ CD20 dim, CD23dim, CD200+., CD38 - cinsistant with CLL.

This looks like a Flow Cytometry report identifying your CLL.

Is there a name for the Antibody Test you got, was it for checking your immunity status after having had vaccination for COVID? Or was it to check to see if you have produced antibodies from having had COVID?

I haven't seen this type info on the tests others have had for Covid immunity antibodies--but I don't know if Canada has a different test from those who have been reported.

I don't know the name of this test. I asked the oncology person to have a test for Covid `19 anti bodies. My hematologist didn't order the test. The person who ordered it did me a favor to include it with my last blood work. This test is Canadian standard test done at the hospital. There are private clinics near me but would have to pay CDN 175.00 and then who know if the test would be any good. By the way I had the 2 pfizer vaccines.

And the above information identifying your bloodwork as consistent with CLL diagnosis was all that was on the report?

You are so right. It doesn't give any information as to any anti body for covid 19. Therefore I will enquire with a private clinic and see if they do proper anti body testing.

I hope you get to see a report for what you asked them to do, or at least get some explanation.

I forgot to mention to you that I never had covid and I am doing quite well on Ibritinib . I'm on it now for 14 months

It is good that you are doing well with Ibrutinb. Long may that be. That medication seems to be quite good for many CLL patients.

How can WBC be less than ALC?

I don’t know about ALC or what you mean that WBC being less ?

Lymphocytes are a subtype of white blood cells. There can not be more of them than white blood cells.

I’m not an expert about this. The fact that my blood work shows good results according to my hematologist and also the d re act that my lymph nodes are gone after doing a CT Scan is a good thing

I'm as far from an expert as they get too😁 Just reading this site regularly helps with clearing some of the darkness up.

My layperson interpretation of your results are that ibrutinib has your Cll well under control with a wbc in the normal range, however, ibrutinib has not eradicated your Cll, nor is it likely to do so on its own. Ibrutinib is great for controlling Cll, but usually another drug like venetoclax would have to be added to get to where the testing can’t find Cll cells.

I think it’s a good idea to test for covid antibodies, just be aware you are unlikely to have them. Most people with Cll who are taking ibrutinib are not producing covid antibodies in response to their vaccines.

Our Medicare only approved Ibritinib for me so I will ask when I have my next follow up if I can have venetoclax also.
