Last Friday I had my second Covid jab, but the day after a lymph node the size of a tennis ball appeared under my right armpit (the same side as the jab) and it has been extremely painful.
Is this a coincidence or has anyone else experienced something similar??
Also, can anyone advise as to what pain relief there is for lymph nodes?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Chucky I also had a painful lymph node under my arm same side as Moderna shot. It was smaller than a tennis ball, perhaps a grape, but went away within a week. I’m glad to say 3 weeks later I tested positive for COVID spike protein antibodies.
I had Moderna and two days afterwards a 9-cm lymph node under the armpit with the jab. I wanted medicine to stop the growth but doctors were worried that it will stop antibody protection. Tested negative for antibodies. Suffered with this for 7 weeks and finally took Prednisone which helped to reduce it. Now lymph node is still 2cm enlarged but I can serve tennis balls with it.
Hi, I had the AZ second jab last Saturday and also developed a smallish but tender lymph node under my arm on the jab side. I had an appointment already booked with my doctor two days later and he was most excited about it! Wished he had a student in the room so he could show them a lymph node ‘doing it’s job’ as it was the only node that had come up. Mine has almost gone now but I can still feel it. Hopefully yours will come down soon. I have had an underlying headache since the jab and my doc noticed my platelets had fallen. This could be the vaccine or the Acalabrutinib that I’m on. So, now I’m sitting and waiting for more signs I’ve got a blood clot. Honestly, it never stops!!
Thanks for your reply.I'm still on w&w and not expecting to see my doc for another 5 weeks so i thought it best to ask people on here if they'd experienced similar symptoms.. Sorry to hear of your issues, I guess this is what I have to look forward too.
After abt 5 days post 2nd Moderna I developed an enlarged node about the size of an egg. It receded in about one week as did the pain that came with it.
