My wife has been on venteclax for 6 months and is experiencing muscle and shoulder pain Specialist advised 12 percent experienced as side effect in taking venteclax.

Looking for relief and any hope that pain goes away. Very hard on her.

Thanks

Hi, yes It was difficult to figure out. About 12% of patients on venetoclax get arthalgia and myalgia - joint and muscle pain. Mine keeps me taking pain relievers to help as well as daily stretching of arms and doing yoga. I’ve reduced the drug down to 100 mg and will talk with oncologist about going down to 50mg.

By any chance is your wife also taking a statin medication? If so, it's possible that depletion of coenzyme Q-10 may be at the root of the problem, and supplementation might help.
