I hope this isn't TOO inappropriate to post, but while a lot of us CLLers remain in self-imposed lockdown, I wanted to share a two-minute stop-motion animated movie I made with my 10-year-old son in Tokyo. (A non-monetized passion project made for fun.) It's the first episode in a pandemic lockdown sitcom series of eleven episodes. I'm hoping to crank one out a week, though that's easier said than done while maintaining a full-time job.

A little lighthearted pandemic humor....
Brilliant boys! Loved that.💖💖
Err.. well.. it is a great reminder to avoid excess seriousness.
Yes, I needed that. Thanks. Well done.
An upcoming episode will have Dr. Fauci in as a special guest star!
A proper super-hero mashup?
The important thing is that all the characters always practice pandemic safety with masks and hand washing...although a certain visiting President in Episode 5 does NOT wear a mask.
Great job!! Its wonderful that you and your son are able to spend time together doing this! Its such a great learning experience and more importantly, just plain fun! Can't wait to see next episode!
Loved it!
Randy,
I loved it. I’m glad to see you show up on the forum time and again. You’re always so positive.
Carry on then and great health to you and your son.
Jeff
Thanks, Jeff! I should have a TV story on “CBS This Morning Saturday” tomorrow about Japanese kids returning to elementary school in Tokyo under pandemic conditions. I shot it yesterday and edited it today.
What a fantastic thing to be able to do with your son . I commend you both 👏👏.
I asked my family to come up with all the positives that the Coronavirus had brought into our lives . Family time was top of the list , followed by community spirit , social responsibility , improved health care system for all, a light shone into the dark corners of homelessness and direct provision for asylum seekers . How we don’t need to travel to a hot climate to create wonderful holiday memories ( all staycations in Ireland must include rain gear and wetsuits for the chilly Atlantic but the grass is so green and the scenery stunning !!) .The importance of human touch and books.
Definitely, there have been some silver linings despite all the tragedies.
Let’s hope the silver linings will overcome and outlive the awful human tragedies .
I'm sure that better hygiene awareness will greatly reduce cases of, for example, influenza for many years to come.
Very creative...thanks for sharing AR!
On the subject of kids returning to school during the COVID-19 pandemic, I will share another video which I shot three days ago in Tokyo and edited yesterday. It was just broadcast on "CBS This Morning Saturday" in the States.
Humor is good medicine!
The influence of music still needs much investigation. I noticed that "old people" in the Dominican Republic do not "act old". I attribute it partially to their MERENGUE music. Their most famous Merengue singer Joseito Mateo was born 1920, and became a star in the 1940's. He sang his last concert at 96, recorded his last hit at 97, and died at 99 from CLL ! He also sang a concert at 93 with three other Merengue singers who were in their mid-80's . I use Merengue music during my active hours as low volume background sound: On the internet as "Tropical 100 Merengue" . There are other forms of stimulating music therapy: Samba, waltz, Austrian marches, Spanish pasodobles, Dixieland Jazz.
Well done our kids loved it too 👍
For those interested, "Episode 2: Parenting" has been released!
We enjoyed the 2nd episode and we have subscribed to watch them all. Keep up the good work!
