Is it advisable to return to work as an art tutor of small groups of students following Covid Safety regulations? I live in a household where everyone is out and about and working, so I really haven't self isolated.
If I don't work I won't be able to pay my rent or help support my family. I finished treatment for CLL in 2016 [FCR]. My health has been remarkably good considering [apart from sepsis after the first treatment]. I returned to work after treatment and I've been lucky [so far!]
My last blood count in July '20 was satisfactory. My oncologist asked me to look at CLL Support to get different opinions as my question is really difficult for the oncologist to answer. Thank you in advance for any opinions

I recall a reply today that talked about risk and our risk tolerance. The safest option for us is to isolate completely and have no contact with anyone that "is out and about and working."

But that does not appear to be possible for you. And it also seems that not working yourself is not a realistic option for economic reasons. So like driving a car, flying in an airplane etc. we then want to find ways to reduce our risk to the lowest practical levels.

So whether it is your students or your family, you want to encourage them to reduce their risks of contracting the virus, and then, even if they do, you want to reduce the risk of them accidentally spreading it to you.

Can you perform your tutoring in very well ventilated spaces, possibly outdoors for as long as the weather will permit? Can your students and family wear surgical masks whenever they are in the same room as you are? Can you maintain 2 meter separation from your students? Can you wear a N95 mask and a face shield when you are closer than 2 meters to your students?
