Just trying to get to the bottom of an infection - got admitted 11 last night. On special unit to check for Covid since I’ve had another hospital admission in a different hospital this week. I have to return my portable heart monitor to other hospital Monday morning - so I hope to get out of here tomorrow once IV antibiotics have done their trick

Greetings from The Christie
Sending best wishes and sincere hope it’s not Covid Sepsur!
It’s been a rough time for you with the severe cramps which had you falling and cutting your head.
Hope it’s a quick turn around this time and they quickly get the infection under control.
Time to keep away from hospitals!

Blimey, its beginning to sound like the Christie is your second home. Hope you are comfortable and that this infection situation is resolved. Keep well and hold on to your sense of humour
Hiya! Admission with any infection at this time has to be uncomfortable. I am assuming this non Covid! Nevertheless The Christie is a remarkable hospital, so I am hoping you can relax and let the Docs take the strain!
Dig deep - it is the long view we need to take.
Thank you for sharing - the testimonies of others always inspires!
Here rooting for you!

In a dull (today) part of the UK - a tad south of you!
Sorry to hear you're back in and infected again Sepsur. You deserve a break, hope this is easily dealt with!
Thank you -
Please keep us updated, Miles and hope this is infection is taken care of quickly. Not going to even think it could be COVID.
Hope your next post is written from home.
Big hug,
D.
Thanks I will
Oh no Sepsur, get well soon, sending hugs to you. 😘😘
Good news Covid free but taking blood at 5am is a bit of an ask 😀
Tough times. Sending best wishes.
Peggy 😀
I feel better in here, at least they treat me as the delicate flower that I am.....oh no wait, it’s because they think I have Covid 😀😳
I am sure you are a delicate flower Miles, just like me.

Sending you healing positive energy and hoping it's not Covid.
You have had enough to break that wonderful sense of humour, yet you persist and we love the rapport. You make us smile with tears at your bravery in all the struggles you have had. Hoping for this stay to be quickly resolved and find you back home asap.
Thank you - they used the dreaded ‘b’ word today - so Monday’s treat is MRI, BMB & FKW.
What’s a FKW Sepsur?
Hope you’re managing to keep your spirits up. Sending huge best wishes.

Thinking of u Sepsur, how you doing? Hope all is well.
Sore head, sore hip - been off ibrutinib for a week - so the joys of night sweats again - and they feed you so early like 5.30pm dinner - I’m just negotiating eating something - I’m in isolation for fear of Covid - The Christie has a couple of half decent cafes but I can’t go, I’m trapped in a torture chamber of culinary neglect.
Sending best my best wishes, I hope you will soon be out of the hospital.

Wishing you a speedy recovery Sepsur. You are currently in the best hospital in the UK, but you don't need me to tell you that. The spirit there is so different to any I have experienced in other hospitals, they are simply fantastic. You take care. Regards Eric.
Great news that it’s not Covid, Sepsur. I hope they get to the bottom of it soon and that it’s all ok! In the meantime thanks for keeping us posted and even providing a laugh or two!
Hi Sepsur,
I’m a bit late to the party, but still hope things are getting sorted. The Christie is where I’m treated as well. It has a strange effect on me, a sigh of relief every time I’ve walked in since my first visit in July 2012. To me it is one of my ‘safe haven’ places. It always has made me feel very lucky to have the haematology team and the trials team there for me and so attentive.
atb, rob
Hope things are on the mend now!🤞🏾🙏🏾
Thanks - I’m here a week to run every test going- thanks everyone for their messages,
God bless! Stay strong. Hopefully you be back soon and the angels will work their magic very soon 🤞🏾🙏🏽
💪🤞🏻 - I’m know without a shadow of doubt that I’m in the best place - ibrutinib has transformed my day to day existence - but it does have side effects - one of those is mini seizure like episodes - I’m sort of hoping it’s not the ibrutinib because I’m very happy on it. Quite prepared for pace maker if necessary & everything else to retain the quality of life I have today.
A little bit daunted by being trapped in a white box for a week after 12 weeks of shielding.
Trying to get sketch pad & stuff over here to carry on with life.
Have they any theories yet Sepsur or relying on the tests to identify/confirm something?
Thinking of you. I’ve had my fair share of hospital food! 😳

I hope it gets sorted out soon Sepsur.
