Ponytail Palm

This is my Ponytail palm that developed trees on top of it. I googled it and found out that it is a bloom and because of his color it is a male plant. They bloom after they are twenty years old.

The highest part was thirty feet high. Now it’s a nice ten feet high. My sawzaw took care of it in no time. It is now a nice size that looks much better. And then it was nap time.

Glad I got it pruned. It rained here all day. I live on a Bayou (a salt water lake) It leads to the Gulf of Mexico.

It only took an hour. Now I have to get rid of it. I hope it's picked up on Monday.

Thanks. It's why we bought the house. It was quite a fixer upper.

Gosh, that looks so much like what we call the Cabbage Tree or Cabbage Palm in New Zealand - I wonder if they are related. Our tree is part of the Cordyline family. 😊

It's a much shorter one now. I noticed some new starts. I hope I didn't kill it.
