Very honored to have 2 of my pandemic poems published in the current issue of the CLL Society Tribune, which just came out today. They can be read here: cllsociety.org/2020/06/in-a...

This is an unlocked post.

Immediately after reading I ordered a pie. Those bakery references are delicious.

Good Morning Kim,

You are so very gifted, my compliments to you.

Keep up the good Spirit.

Any time in Vancouver for a Dr's visit?

Love to go to a great Bakery with you for a little talk

about our CLL Path?

Enjoy our rainy day,

Yours,

Traudel

Hi Traudel. Good to hear from you. How are you doing? I don't know if I will come to Vancouver this month for my specialist appointment or just do it by phone. Much as I would like to visit in a bakery, I will not be doing anything like that for a long while. It does not feel safe to sit indoors at public establishment for visits. Let's hope this pandemic will come to an end at some point!

I just got a phone call from BC Cancer Agency today. My appointment this month will be by phone, so I won't be coming to Vancouver. I am relieved by that because it was going to be hours on public buses and ferries for me to get there and back home. and that's doesn't seem safe at this time.

Thank you for your reply.

I understand.

We have many out door places, where we could meet,

if the time is right.

I'm doing alright. My latest results are very good, Spleen size down from 26 cm to 11cm,

Bloodwork shows as well tremendous improvements. Hope of further improvements.

On Ibrutinib since Decemeber 4th, 2019. Follow up appointment next week.

Might have to have a hernia Operation, hope to postpone till fall.

Enjoy your Path,

Yours,

Traudel

That's great that you have had such reduction in spleen size - all the way back down to normal. You must feel better as a result of that.

Kim, I love your poetry.

Way to go!!!!!

Yes, I am, thanks! I'm doing quite well at the moment 5 months into venetoclax. This is really the best I've felt in a long time... as long as I am not in Afib. How are you doing?

in reply to PlanetaryKim

Not too bad, I had too many reactions to Ibrutinib, even when reduced to 2 caps so I was taken off to give my body a break. My CT following Ibrutinib was almost clear, Dr, Hart was shocked so I must metabolize very quickly. Now waiting for my spleen to get a little larger in hopes of putting me on the Alcalbrutinib trial in Victoria as it has fewer side effects. . I am so happy to hear how well you are doing. Stay safe and healthy, we're pretty fortunate on the Island.

I hope the acalbrutinib goes well for you! Yes we are lucky to be here on the island during this pandemic. Low # of covid cases so far.
