IGG level increase and Final stretch of Veneteclax

Happy to report that I am on my last month of Veneteclax . Started my journey on treatment with Gazyva June 2019 for 8 infusions followed by veneteclax 400mg. A little back ground info;

Cll diagnosis 2016 and on W/W

1/2019 My IGG dropped to 213 and replacement of 20 mg of gammaguard was started every 4 weeks.

4/19 I became very sick for 3 weeks and ended in the Er and after an arterial biopsy I was diagnosed with Giant Cell arteritis. Started on 40 mg of prednisone for 6 month.

May 2019 my kidneys started to leak protein and after a kidney biopsy I was diagnosed with stage 3 kidney disease r/t my cll. My bone biopsy revealed 86% cll cells. Dr. Said it was time to treat. At that time my #’s were: RBC 2.39, WBC 8.7 then went up to 44.9, ABS lymphocytes 6.0, HCT24.8,HGB 8.0.

Fast forward to April 30 2020, WBC 3.1,RBC 4.03, HGB 13.0, HCT 39.8, ABS lymph. 1.2.

But the biggest surprise was the day before I was to get my monthly igg the labs showed my level at 925. Well within the normal range. I don’t know if this will be my new normal but gammaguard is on hold for two months so we can recheck levels. All I can say is there is hope for all of us. I never once doubted that Gazyva and Veneteclax is truly a miracle drug.
